Cleanup on Aisle 5

If you were at Long Beach Comic Con this past weekend, you might have seen either myself or Jo on the show floor.  Probably more likely Jo, as I only attended on Saturday afternoon. I'd heard just how bad the traffic and parking situation was there, so opted to head down after lunch instead of right after hitting the dog park.  My life these days always seems like everything is "after hitting the dog park." My bulldog is going to be 9 this year(!) and she shows no signs of slowing down.  As I'm writing this, she's annoying the shit out of me with a stuffed animal that she wants me to toss for her, and this is after almost two hours of chasing after balls at the park.  And a 3 1/2 mile hike the night before.  And here I thought that when I adopted her, I was going to end up with much more of a couch potato than my last dog, a boxer.

Jo's not the only one that's an artist!  I decided to put my dubious talents to work, as Loot Crate is having a contest to design a trading card game.  I figured I'd throw my hat into the ring, as there's a pretty cool prize of a PS4 and Sony Vita.  That's my card on the right, made with my also dubious Photoshop skills.

If you feel so inclined, you can head to https://gleam.io/g/08ohq/xact and vote for my entry.  And if you're similarly inclined, you can also create your own and enter it for a chance to win.  But hurry, the contest is only open until this Sunday 9/20.

Despite having anti-fatique mats from Harbor Freight (this time used for their intended purpose rather than being turned into bad-ass sabres) my feet are still tired from working Long Beach Comic Con all weekend. I had a blast and it is always a pleasure to see cosplayers regardless of whether or not you keep a tally of Deadpools. Met some really cool costumers I hope to do some stitch-and-bitches with in future! The next big thing for me is Wasteland Weekend. Have I mentioned that before? I have? Well sorry I am a bit of a broken record sometimes, speaking of broken records, I think they would make great accessories for wasteland outfits...
