Mea culpa, mea culpa: we were delayed a bit this week getting the comic out. We were supposed to post it on this last Wednesday October 21st, which some of you may also remember was “Back to the Future Day.” This was the date that Marty McFly and Doc Brown traveled to the future, setting events in motion that led to a dystopian present that Marty and Doc then had to travel back to the past to correct. This is the “butterfly effect,” which is used to demonstrate that a small event(old Biff bringing the sports almanac back in time to give to his younger self) can have a major change on the future.
So am I saying that time travel is responsible for our comic being late? No, but we can certainly blame the butterfly effect. It’s those little things in life (like Jo being able to pay her mortgage, or my car needing repairs and sitting in the shop overnight) that can have big effects on our comic. Hence us being a couple of days late.
But hey, if we can ever get a flux capacitor to work, maybe we’ll go back in time and get the comic out on Wednesday. But who knows what kind of horrible ramifications that could have for the future? Donald Trump could end up president next year if we changed that…guess we’ll just play it safe and let today’s comic come out on Friday this week. Unless we finally get our hoverboards…

Paul was a little surprised that I didn't bother with a blog last week. Frankly I've been so busy fixing files for an e-publisher who decided that "Comic Sans" was not "professional enough looking" for them to accept book #5 of a series. It took some time to re-letter all of the pages in the following books, so apologies for the lateness. We have actually discussed the possibilty of switching our publishing day to Friday as Wednesday seems to be a bit of an issue right now. Opinions? Let us know! |
